Here are some questions to help review. Read Acts 1-7 again, and see if you can easily answer these questions. If you can’t, go to the web site www.zile.org/bible.html , scroll down to "Studies in ACTS", and go over the classes again. Or just call (480-671-0453) or email me. Better yet, do both. I’d really like to hear from you. Let me know if you are still on board to do more on Acts, and what you think of what we’ve done so far.

I know that Acts is controversial, and every religion has it’s own interpretation of it. But let’s just take the Bible as our sole final authority, think for ourselves, and it’s truth will make us free of religious confusion. As you think through these questions, write down what scriptures answer these questions for you. I’d love to see your list when you’re done, so email it to me if you’d like.

1. Is the primary purpose of the book of Acts to give doctrine to live by to us in the body of Christ, OR is it to record what happened with the nation Israel?   (Hint: Look in a concordance to see how many times the terms "body of Christ" and "Israel" are found in Acts.)

2. What did Jesus do for forty days after He rose from the dead?

3. What is the baptism with the Holy Ghost that was promised in the Old Testament? To whom was it promised? What was water baptism for?

4. Did the disciples expect to go to heaven to be with Jesus, OR did they expect Jesus to come back to the earth? What kind of kingdom did they expect, and where will it be ?

5. Was Paul supposed to take Judas’ place instead of Matthias? Why, or why not?

6. Were Jewish men from all over the world required to go to Jerusalem for the feast day of Pentecost? If so, were the people in Jerusalem on that day Jews or Gentiles?

7. If Peter said they were in the "last days" in Acts 2:16,17, why has the end of the world not come by now?

8. Did Peter tell people to be saved by trusting that Christ died to pay for their sins? Verses please. If not, what did he teach?

9. Was God willing to forgive Israel for killing Christ? Was He willing to forgive Israel for speaking against the Holy Ghost? When did the Holy Ghost come?

10. Why could the believers in Acts be of one mind and one accord, and we can’t today?

11. Did Peter offer Israel a prophesied earthly kingdom in Acts 2 & 3, OR did he start a new Gentile church?

12. What was to come next in prophecy? Why didn’t it happen?

13. In what time period is healing promised?

14. To whom were signs and wonders promised?

15. Should we give all our possessions to the church like believers in Acts did? Why or why not?

16. Were any healings in Acts done gradually or in part? Were any unsuccessful?

17. Do you think Ananias and Sapphira were saved people?

18. To whom did Stephen speak in Acts 7? Did he tell them that Christ died for their sins, OR did he condemn them for killing Christ and resisting the Holy Ghost?

19. Stephen saw Jesus standing at the right hand of God in heaven. In prophecy, what does Christ do when He stands up?

20. What was Israel’s response to what God the Holy Ghost said to them through Stephen?
